Damian Marley's 'Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise 2019' Close To Getting Sold Out

November 12, 2018

On Monday, Billboard revealed Damian Marley's line-up for his upcoming "Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise" launching in December 2018. The popular reggae festival is celebrating it's fifth year on the high seas, but it's their sixth voyage that's nearing capacity.

The cruise is named after Marley's 2006 Grammy Award-winning album Welcome to Jamrock, which hit number #7 on the Billboard 200 and relased through Universal Motown/Tuff Gong.

In 2014, Marley and manager, Dan Dalton launched the moving festival on it's maiden voyage on board the Norwegian Pearl from Port of Miami to Jamaica. The 5-night reggae celebration held over 2,400 passengers from all over the globe and featured a who's who of hosts, reggae/dancehall artists and Selectors/DJs.

Attendees can expect concerts at night, after-hour sound system sessions, "early morning Rastafarian drumming and chanting circles" and possibility of bumping into and getting a photo ops with their favorite artists.

For the past 4 years, the cruise has been sold out almost a year in advance and for 2018, its no exception. The sold out 5th year anniversary cruise is set to sail aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas starting on December 1st through the 6th, 2018 and will will dock in Ocho Rios and Falmouth, Jamaica.
