(KCBS RADIO) - Alaina Housley, a recent high school graduate from Napa, was among the 13 people killed in the mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, Calif. late on Wednesday.

Housley is the niece of "Sister Sister" actor Tamera Mowry-Housley who mourned the loss of her family member.

"Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner," Mowry-Housley said in a statement with her husband Adam Housley to Yahoo News.

Authorities have said that a Marine combat veteran opened fire at the Borderline Bar & Grill, killing 12 people before fatally shooting himself.

Housley graduated from Vintage High School in Napa in June and was a freshman at Pepperdine University, which also confirmed her death.

There will be a candlelight vigil for Housley at the Yountville Community Center at 6 p.m., according to the Napa Valley Register.
